David Archuleta is back with more music for fans. Following the success of his Earthly Delights EP, the singer-songwriter has released a deluxe edition of the project, out now, offering two brand new tracks and acoustic versions of fan favorites.
The expanded collection marks Archuleta’s first release of new material in over five years and shows the former American Idol star stepping boldly into new creative territory. The deluxe edition introduces “Fade To Black” and “Inside Out,” alongside stripped-down acoustic versions of “Crème Brulée” and “Can I Call You.”
“Fade To Black” is a spirited anthem about reclaiming one’s independence and choosing self-care after investing too much time in the wrong places. Written by Archuleta with Michael Cody Dear, Ryan Nealon, and Alexander Lewis (who also produced the track), the song blends sharp lyricism with a playful edge.
Meanwhile, “Inside Out” leans into retro influences from the ‘80s and ‘90s. Co-written with Noah Davis, Ryan Nealon, and Michael Blum (who produced the track), the song invites intimacy and openness in relationships, encouraging a partner to drop their guard—delivered with a sultry, throwback sound.
Archuleta explained of his latest release and upcoming tour, "I'm so excited to bring the 'Earthly Delights' show to life on this upcoming tour. I'll be performing new songs off the EP as well as my older songs. It's a really good mix of my catalog and I'll have dancers with me for some fun choreo moments, cool lighting and more. I want it to have a "big show" feel, but still in an intimate setting. I want to take the audience on a journey with a full live experience."
With this deluxe edition, David Archuleta offers a fuller picture of his creative evolution—balancing playful pop hooks with deeper emotional resonance. Earthly Delights (Deluxe Edition) is both a continuation of his journey and a celebration of where he stands today: authentic, empowered, and unafraid to embrace the full spectrum of life’s experiences.
