Gracie Abrams is hitting back at a "wildly uncool" petition created by a fan demanding she change one of her tour openers.

The "That's So True" singer is preparing to for the European and U.K. leg of her tour in February and March, and it was recently announced that Dora Jar (real name Dora Jarkowski) will join her as the opening act, per People. While tour openers often serve as a way to highlight up-and-coming artists, as well as a way fans to discover new music, at least one fan was upset enough with the news that they started an online petition asking for Dora to be replaced.

In the now-deleted petition, the fan said many people were "baffled" by the opener as they "do not recognize her, and with less than two weeks till the tour, it's virtually impossible to familiarize ourselves with her slow-paced songs." Instead, a "more well-known, energetic artist or band" should take her place.

The fan went on to claim that Dora's music wouldn't match the tone of the concert, writing, "For a memorable concert experience, an opening act should set the mood and get the crowd excited, but Dora's slow tempo songs may not achieve this goal."

Abrams eventually caught wind of the petition and slammed the demands in a comment under an Instagram post shared by Stereogum over the weekend.

"Just hearing about this absolute ridiculousness... so wildly uncool and bizarre and also just does not remotely add up," she wrote. "I've only seen everyone's total excitement and I couldn't be luckier or prouder to share a stage with this talented writer. Stream everything she's ever made whether or not you're coming to the show. Dora forever and ever."

Dora herself weighed in on the controversial petition, joking in a video on TikTok that she was "on [her] way to sign the petition" as she lip-synced along to her song "Ragdoll," adding in the comments that "we r rising above darlings" and "grateful for all the love."
