The Hudson Valley is brimming with festive events to celebrate the holiday season. Visitors can enjoy a variety of light shows, historical tours, and family-friendly activities throughout the region.

One of the highlights is the "Holiday Lights in Bloom" at the Orange County Arboretum in Montgomery. This free, garden-themed walk-through display is open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening until December 29. Another walk-through attraction is "Christmas on the Farm" at Apple Ridge Orchards in Warwick, featuring a winter wonderland setup available through December 23 and again from December 26 to 29.

For those who prefer a drive-through experience, the Wonderland of Lights at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck offers a mile-long route of illuminated exhibits. Similarly, "Peace, Love and Lights" at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts provides a 1.7-mile course of dazzling lights.

History enthusiasts can visit Knox's Headquarters State Historic Site in New Windsor, where the historic house is decorated for the season. Tours are available on select dates in December.

Additionally, Bear Mountain State Park hosts "A Beary Merry Holiday" on Saturday (December 21), where kids can make holiday snacks for the zoo's bears. The park also offers a carousel and ice rink for further enjoyment.

According to the Times Herald-Record, these events provide a perfect opportunity to immerse in the holiday spirit.
