Governor Hochul has signed a new bill that's aimed at helping New York attract semiconductor-related businesses.

The Green CHIPS measure allows the Empire State to offer tax breaks to companies that come to New York to build new semiconductor factories. The legislation also allows the state to access federal CHIPS funding. Governor Hochul says the state is getting ready to lead the nation in semiconductor manufacturing and this bill takes a significant step forward in creating jobs and sparking economic growth in New York.
