A man who is accused of stabbing an Albany police officer earlier this week is now facing several charges.
On Monday, police were called to investigate a domestic disturbance on Franklin Street. They later found out the man involved in that dispute, 54-year-old Eric Frazier, had a warrant out for his arrest. When officers tried to take Frazier into custody, he allegedly stabbed one officer in the arm which led to another officer opening fire, causing a bullet to strike Frazier in the chest. Frazier is charged with attempted murder, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon among other crimes. He's currently in the custody of the Albany County Sheriff's Office.
