The Emma Willard school is providing free credit and identity theft monitoring to everyone affected by a recent ransomware attack.

Officials say the attack happened last week, which led to the personal financial information of some members of the school community being stolen. The social security numbers of employees were also taken by hackers. School Head Jennifer Rao says security measures that were already in place discovered the attack quickly and helped put an end to it.
