Tinder Users Had Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion's 'WAP' On Replay In 2020

COVID-19 made dating difficult in 2020, but according to newly-released data from Tinder, users still found plenty of ways to connect with one another, especially on things like Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's "WAP."

According to Billboard, the explicit anthem reigned supreme on the app's "10 Essential Dating Anthems" ranking. Even though the smash failed to snag any nominations at the 2021 Grammy Awards, the placement of "WAP" on the app's list isn't surprising, considering its chart history, accompanying music video and viral buzz, and likely early foresight to many year-end lists. Thus far, the song has scored awards at this year's American Music Awards and People's Choice Awards.

Following the rappers' ode to that wet wet was none other than Drake's latest single, "Laugh Now Cry Later" featuring Lil Durk, DaBaby's "Rockstar," Juice WRLD's "Wishing Well," Jack Harlow's "Whats Poppin," Drake's "Toosie Slide" and Megan Thee Stallion's "Savage Remix" featuring Beyoncé.

Elsewhere on their culminate year-end list of trends included the Black Lives Matter movement, face masks and, believe it or not, Carole Baskins. Scroll on below to see more of the trends that Tinder users connected over in 2020.
