A local bar has had their liquor license suspended.

New York State Police and the State Liquor Authority conducted thousands of compliance checks over the weekend and observed violations at 106 establishments.

As a result, 19 bars had their liquor licenses suspended, including the Elbo Room on Delaware Ave in Albany.

Investigators say the Elbo Room was crowded last Thursday and people were walking around drinking and not wearing a face mask.

Additionally, employees were seen selling alcohol without food being served and employees did not ask customers to be seated, wear masks or maintain social distancing.

So far 83 bars and restaurants in the state have had their liquor license suspended for violations during the pandemic.
