Over the last two weeks, gas prices have been climbing.
The only reason we've been able to find is because of "holiday travel", which the Associated Press is saying raised prices around 5 cents a gallon.
That does not explain the big jump in the Hudson/Greenport area, where prices have shot up over 30 cents a gallon in some cases.
Two weeks ago, Speedway on Green Street was $2.37. This morning it's $2.69
The cheapest on Fairview is at Sam's Citgo, which comes in at $2.53. That's still a 14 cent increase.
Last year at this time, prices were around $2.28
