Hudson man arrested on Burglary Charges

Press Release – Man Arrested in State Street Home

On Friday December 14, 2019 at about 11:00am the Hudson City Police Department received a call from a private security monitoring service that a burglar alarm had been activated at 220 State Street.

Officer Jon Merante and Sgt Dean Rowe responded and located TREYVON M. WHITTAKER, age 23, of Hudson, NY inside the building and took him into custody. Officers inspected the residence and found that the burglar alarm system within the residence had apparently been tampered with.

WHITTAKER was charged with Burglary 2nd Degree (C Fel) and Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree (E fel). He was arraigned in front of City Court Judge Brian Herman and was remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail/$2,500 bond. He is due back in court on 12/19/19. WHITTAKER has a prior felony conviction for possession of stolen property.
