Columbia-Greene Snow Emergencies

The following communities in Columbia and Greene Counties have declared snow emergencies:

Catskill:

Due to the forecast of snow; the parking plan of snow removal for the Village of Catskill will be initiated on Sunday morning, December 1, 2019 at 8 A.M. All vehicles need to be parked on the even side of the street from 8 AM – 8PM. Vehicles then need to be moved and parked on the odd side of Village Streets from 8P.M. – 8 A.M. Vehicles will continue to alternate sides of the street every 12 hours, until the snow emergency has been canceled. Parking enforcement will remain in effect until all snow is removed from Village streets.

Effective Sunday, December 1, 2019 from 11 pm until 8am there will be no parking on Main Street from Greene Street to Summit Avenue each evening to ensure that Main Street is one of the first streets to be cleared of snow. Residents who usually park on Main Street should utilize the municipal parking lots.

Any vehicle parked on the roadway in violation of Article 6 Section 103, subdivision 2 of the Village of Catskill parking regulations which hinder the removal of snow will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.

Greenport:

With the predicted snow storm,a reminder that there is NO PARKING on the towns roads during the snow removal. Your vehicle will be ticketed . The set fine is $100.00 plus towing fees.

Chatham:

Athens:

The Mayor has declared a snow emergency for the Village of Athens. Until 8:00am Tuesday, December 3rd, single side street parking will be enforced. Parking is even side/ odd side based on the date (odd date = odd side of the street). Please help our DPW to make our streets safe by ensuring your cars are compliant this evening and through the day tomorrow.Timing is is 8am - 8am for moving vehicles
