Heavy winds could mean trouble tonight

Following today's rain, the possibility for heavy winds tonight have crews on alert.

WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT FRIDAY

* WHAT...South to southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50

mph expected late this afternoon into tonight, then west winds

beginning toward Friday morning at same speeds.

* WHERE...Eastern Catskills, central and southern Taconics, mid

Hudson Valley, and western New England.

* WHEN...From 5 PM Thursday to 8 PM EDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.

Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may

result.
