Everything turned out ok Wednesday afternoon, after two people in kayaks reported having trouble on the Hudson River.
Greene County 9 1 1 took the call just after 3. The woman reported that she and her friend were south of Catskill, in the area of Greendale Road in Columbia County.
Firefighters from Catskill, Athens, and Hudson responded, along with Catskill ambulance and the Greene County Sheriff's Office.
The boaters reported that the wind and rain on the river were too much to control the boats.
One at a time, crews were able to rescue the boaters and get them back to Catskill Point, where they were checked out by Catskill Ambulance.
