Woman undergoing rabies treatment, after she was bit at local boat club

A woman is undergoing rabies treatments, after she was bit by a rabid grey fox at the Roe-Jan Creek boat club in the town of Livingston.

We're told, the fox came out of the woods and attacked the woman, who was at the club for a party.

The fox was shot by one of the people on site, and tested positive for rabies, by the Columbia County health department.

We also learned of a similar incident in Hudson last month.

The department says to make sure your pets are up to date on their rabies vaccines, and to be alert when you're outdoors.
