Vietnam Wall arrives in Catskill tomorrow, Main St. closed for procession

From Catskill Police:

When the Vietnam Wall makes it's way through the Village of Catskill Wednesday, Main St will be closed completely in both directions from the Jefferson heights bridge to the point.

Every intersection will be blocked. This will be happening somewhere between 1030 and 1130. Once it begins it will be closed for approximately 1 hour so the wall and escort can move freely through the village to its destination at the point.

Stop and show your support or avoid the area completely. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

From Protector's Motorcycle Club:

Greene County will host the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall at the Historic Catskill Point from 22 - 25 August. It will be escorted to the site on August 21st via an Escort Ride led by our local chapters of the American Legion Riders and the Protectors LEMC, as well as local law enforcement and other first responders, anyone is welcome to join the ride.

The exhibit will officially open on Thursday, 22 August, at 1100 AM with an Opening Ceremony. The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall will be open for public viewing 24 hours per day until the Closing Ceremony on August 25th. A full schedule of events throughout the visit will be available soon.
