6 Columbia County libraries to share over $434,000 in state grants

Senator Daphne Jordan announces $932,628 in State Aid for library construction and improvement projects for Mid-Hudson, Upper Hudson and Southern Adirondack Library Systems serving the 43rd Senate District

Funding will enable the systems to enhance and renovate local libraries

Albany, NY – New York State Senator Daphne Jordan (R,C,I,Ref-Halfmoon) today announced that the Mid-Hudson, Upper Hudson, and Southern Adirondack Library Systems are the recipientsof $932,628 in State Aid for library construction and improvement projects. The nearly $1 million awarded in state funding will enable these systems serving residents of the 43rd Senate District to enhance and renovate local libraries. The listing of state funding awards for library systems in the 43rd Senate District are as follows:

Claverack Free Library

$302,089 for building renovation for library expansion

Germantown Library

31 Palatine Park Rd., Germantown, NY 12526

$4,645 for the renovation of the library entrance and HVAC upgrades

Hudson Area Association Library

$10,705 for the construction of storage space

Kinderhook Memorial Library

$38,069 for interior and exterior renovations

North Chatham Free Library
