Storm tears through Catskill, then hits Hudson

Just before 1 Tuesday afternoon, a powerful storm tore through Catskill, bringing down trees and wires.

Over a dozen incidents were reported, many were handles by Catskill Fire and Catskill Police.

DPW crews were kept busy, as well as workers from Central Hudson.

The downed trees were responsible for a power outage, affecting more than 2000 customers.

After hitting Catskill, the storms crossed the river, hitting Hudson. There were several reports of trees and wires down. Power was knocked out to around 2500 National Grid Customers from this one.
