The Greene County Sheriff's office confirmed this morning that they are searching Green Lake in Athens, for possible human remains.
It was reported to them Sunday afternoon that someone saw, what they thought were legs underwater. They ended their search late Sunday night, but are back at the scene this morning.
They also say, in a separate and unrelated call, they are also investigating a report that someone saw a car drive up to the lake Sunday, and threw a metal object into the lake.
