What To Do When For The 4th Of July In The Hudson Valley!

The Hudson Valley is the place to be for the 4th of July! This time of the year means family, friends, fun, and FIREWORKS! Enjoy the area’s multitude of activities and events for your family and friends this Independence Day.

We have compiled the ultimate list of activities, events, and of course FIREWORKS being put on throughout the Hudson Valley this 4th of July season to make sure your family and friends celebrate our country's Independence Day the right way!

July 4th

Hyde Park Fourth of July Parade:

Uncle Mike will be on site for the parade. The 2019 theme is honoring our Roosevelt Fire Department and the Grand Marshall Ray Nichols.

Parade starts at Roosevelt Theater at 10 am and ends at Town Hall for trophies and awards.

Kinderhook People’s Parade:

Bill Williams is back in Kinderhook on the 4th of July for their annual People's Parade. A parade where anyone can be in it by just showing up.

It's a nice way to celebrate America's birthday.

Just come to the ball field on Rothermel Lane. It begins at 11 and goes up Route 9 to Village Square, where a small celebration takes place.

Splashdown Beach with J Will:

Come join J Will and the KissFm road crew from Noon till 2 at Splashdown Beach in Wappingers Falls!

J Will be playing music and see if you can win our Flash-Pass scavenger hunt! Don’t miss out on the fun in the sun with 96-1 KissFm!

Walkway Over the Hudson 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular!:

Celebrate Independence Day on the Walkway with Chris Marino!

On July 4, Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park is the best place to watch fireworks in the Hudson Valley!

The Walkway will close at 4pm and re-open at 7pm to ticket holders only

Tickets are available online and in-store with our partners Adam’s Poughkeepsie & Wappingers Falls, and Walkway Pavilions. Tickets sell out fast!

July 5th

First Friday- Red, White & Brew:

Join us Friday, July 5th, from 5-8:30pm, at Eastman Park in Poughkeepsie as First Friday Poughkeepsie partners with Habitat for Humanity of Dutchess County. Attendees are encouraged to join as we celebrate the 4th of July and our local city!

Attendees will be able to enjoy an array of craft beers from over 20 local breweries and authentic BBQ cuisine perfect for any summer celebration! Stop by and try all the in-house specials!

It wouldn’t be First Friday without live performances! Enjoy a live show from Lucky House!

What's a summer party without tailgate games? New to our event, we will be partnering with Ward Boards for an official corn hole tournament. Cost is $40/duo

Proceeds to benefit First Friday Poughkeepsie and Habitat for Humanity of Dutchess County.

Our official emcee Michelle Barone and DJ Smitty / YOUR DJ will keep the crowd entertained in between performances, and as always, the event will kick off with a word from City of Poughkeepsie Mayor Rob Rolison and Councilwoman Sarah Salem.

July 6th

East Durham Independence Day Parade @ Route 145:

Bill Williams is a part of the annual East Durham Independence Day Parade again this year. It takes place on Saturday July 6th.

Watch it anywhere along Route 145 starting at 11.

The parade goes to the Irish Cultural Grounds for a day of celebrating.

Movies Under the Walkway (Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse) @ Upper Landing Park, Poughkeepsie:
