Cairo-Durham High School and middle School was evacuated this afternoon, after smoke was reported in a classroom.
It happened just before 3 in Classroom C-2
Fire and rescue crews responded to the scene on Route 145.
There was some smoke damage.The building needed to be ventilated.
The problem was traced to a failed transformer in an air conditioning unit.
We've received no reports of injuries.
