Members of Girl Scout Troop 1216 were hard at work Saturday afternoon on Healy Boulevard in Greenport.
They were picking up a year's worth of litter along side the road, as part of their Bronze Award project.
That stretch of road had been cleaned up annually by Shop Rite, before they moved.
The troop decided it was an area that needed cleaning. They are from the Philmont-Harlemville area. They plan on doing a clean-up there next week.
