Cairo man accused of impersonating a cop

From Greene County Sheriff's Office:

On 05/02/19 the Greene County Sheriff’s Office arrested Dominick J. Fiorenza, 61 of Cairo for Criminal Impersonation 2nd following a complaint in the Village of Catskill. Fiorenza was getting his vehicle serviced on April 26th and upon completion, began to complain to the service staff about a rip he had found in his driver’s seat.

The service staff looked at the damage and didn't feel it was something caused at the dealership. During the conversation Fiorenza pulled out a police badge and displayed it to the service manager in an attempt to intimidate them. Fiorenza then left without further incident.

The vehicle is pictured, a 2016 Ford Taurus Police Interceptor. Fiorenza is also a registered Level 3 sex offender who resides in Cairo.

Fiorenza was processed and released pending a future court date.

If anyone has had any interactions with Fiorenza or the vehicle pictured, please contact the Greene County Sheriff’s Office at 518-943-3300 EXT 8019
