From Albany Police:
On Wednesday, May 1st, 2019, Albany Police Officer Kristen Pulcher was recognized during the annual Law Day celebration held at the New York State Court of Appeals.
Earlier last month, Officer Pulcher responded to a motor vehicle crash on Pine Street along side the Court in which a man was unresponsive at the wheel and had crashed into several parked cars.
Upon her arrival, Officer Pulcher observed that the driver had overdosed on heroin and immediately administered her department issued Narcan to the driver. As a result, Officer Pulcher, along with the assistance of New York State Court officers assigned to the Court of Appeals, the driver regained consciousness and was transported to the hospital for an evaluation.
Had it not been for her quick thinking, the man would have surely died.
Please join us in congratulating Officer Pulcher on receiving this very well deserved recognition.
