Pine Plains woman arrested for stealing identity and savings from victim

PRESS RELEASE

Rhinebeck, New York – On April 17, 2019, the New York State Police from the Rhinebeck barracks arrested Maryann Moore-Tompkins, age 57, of Pine Plains, NY, for Grand Larceny in the 3rd degree, a class D felony, eight counts of Identity Theft in the 2nd degree, a class E felony, thirty-one counts of Unlawful Possession of Personal Identification, and twenty-three counts of Identity Theft in the 3rd degree, all class A misdemeanors.

Investigation found Moore-Tompkins between October 2016 to October 2018 stole the identity of the victim, and subsequently stole approximately $12,455.00 in U.S. currency.

Moore-Tompkins was arraigned before the town of Milan Court, and released to the supervision of Dutchess County Probation. Moore-Tompkins is next scheduled to appear before the town of Rhinebeck Court on May 5, 2019, at 9:30 a.m.
