Convicted sex offender sentenced to prison

From Columbia County D.A.’s Office:

On April 18, 2019, Honorable Jonathan D. Nichols sentenced El-Jalon Thornton to two (2) to six (6) years with the New York State Department of Correction upon his conviction of Failure to Register/Verify as a Sex Offender, 2nd Offense, Honorable Jonathan D. Nichols presiding. The Hudson Police Department investigated this matter and arrested El-Jalon Thornton. The Public Defender represents El-Jalon Thornton. (Indictment No. 19-001)

He pleaded guilty in February:

On February 28, 2019, El-Jalon Thornton was convicted by plea, as indicted, in County Court of Failure to Register/Verify as a Sex Offender, 2nd Offense, Honorable Jonathan D. Nichols presiding. The Court will sentence El-Jalon Thornton on April 18, 2019. The Hudson Police Department investigated this matter and arrested El-Jalon Thornton. The Public Defender represents El-Jalon Thornton. (Indictment No. 19-001)
