CGCC student of the month is from Hudson

HUDSON, N.Y. – Wyett Imperati of Hudson has been named Student of the Month by Columbia-Greene Community College.

Imperati, a fine arts student at C-GCC, was nominated by Yura Adams, adjunct professor of art.

“Wyett is a very busy individual, with a positive attitude that he applies to all he does,” said Adams. “He excels at what he does by going above and beyond what is required of him.”

Imperati is currently working at the Art School of Columbia County in a 10-week paid internship position, and is also a student aide in the C-GCC Ceramics Lab.

The Student of the Month award is sponsored by the college’s A.W.A.R.E committee, which stands for Are We Always Respecting Each other, and recognizes students in good academic standing, who are also involved in community service activities.

As part of the honor, Students of the Month receive vouchers to be used in the cafeteria or the bookstore, as well as preferred parking spaces in specifically designated areas on campus.
