Half a dozen fire companies were called to 146 George Road in Ghent Thursday afternoon. The call first came in as an indoor smoke investigation just after 1.
Arriving units reported an indoor structure fire and more companies were called.
The fire was reported to be knocked down after 45 minutes.
Both Columbia County Sheriff's Deputies and State Police were on the scene.
We've received no reports of injuries. The cause is under investigation.
