A one car accident shut down Route 9H Saturday morning. The crash happened just after 9:30 at Old Post Road, where the car crashed into a tree, trapping the occupants inside.
West Ghent and Ghent firefighters worked to get the occupants out, where they were taken to the hospital by Greenport Rescue.
Both, State Police and Columbia County Sheriff's Deputies were on the scene.
Traffic was detoured over Old Post Road.
