Traffic stop leads to drug arrest on I-87

On March 19, 2019, State Police in Queensbury arrested 19-year-old Eric A. Pinkowski of Hudson, NY, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5thdegee, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.
At approximately 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Troopers observed a vehicle traveling on Interstate 87 commit several vehicle and traffic infractions, and a traffic stop was initiated. Upon speaking with the driver, the Trooper detected the odor of marijuana coming from the interior of the vehicle and a vehicle search was conducted. The search revealed that passenger Eric Pinkowski, was in possession of a quantity of crack cocaine, fentanyl, and marijuana.
Pinkowski was transported to SP Queensbury for processing and was subsequently arraigned in Queensbury Town Court.
