Fire damaged a building on Main Street in Valatie Saturday afternoon. The call came in at 3028 Main Street around 2:40. That building has Aimee Strunk Real Estate on the first floor and an apartment on the second floor.
Valatie was assisted by Kinderhook, Niverville and Chatham, and the FAST team from Claverack.
Arriving units reported smoke and fire in the rear of the building.
Fire officials say, most of the damage was contained to the outside of the structure.
We've received no reports of injuries. The cause is under investigation.
National Grid, and the building inspector was also called to the scene.
Main Street was closed while fire crews worked.
