COLUMBIA COUNTY COURT FRIDAY. 34 YEAR
OLD RUSSELL MEYER PLEAD GUILTY TO
FAILING TO REGISTER AS A SEX OFFENDER.
HE'LL BE SENTENCED IN MAY. MEYER
WAS THE SUBJECT OF A POLICE SEARCH
LAST DECEMBER.
A BROOKLYN MAN, WHO WAS ARRESTED ON
DRUG CHARGES, AS HE GOT OFF AN AMTRAK
TRAIN IN HUDSON, PLEAD GUILTY FRIDAY
IN COLUMBIA COUNTY COURT. 41 YEAR
OLD CONNELL JOHNSON WAS IN POSSESSION
OF CRACK COCAINE, THAT HE INTENDED
TO SELL, WHEN HE WAS ARRESTED IN
JANUARY. HE'S SCHEDULED TO BE
SENTENCED IN MAY.
FIRE AND RESCUE CREWS WERE ON THE
SCENE OF TWO ACCIDENTS LAST NIGHT IN
KINDERHOOK. THE FIRST WAS JUST AFTER
10:30 ON COUNTY ROUTE 21. THE SECOND
WAS JUST BEFORE 1 THIS MORNING ON
ROUTE 9.
AN INVESTIGATION INTO A LARCENY FROM
A BUILDING LAST DECEMBER IN CAIRO,
HAS LEAD TO THE ARREST OF A ROUND TOP
MAN. 19 YEAR OLD JOHN SERVIDER WAS
CHARGED BY STATE POLICE WITH CRIMINAL
POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY. HE'LL
ANSWER THE CHARGES IN TOWN COURT.
AN INCIDENT THAT BEGAN LAST YEAR
IN CANAAN, NOW HAS A MASSACHUSETTS MAN
IN THE COLUMBIA COUNTY JAIL. 57 YEAR
OLD DAVID CARMON WAS CHARGED BY STATE
POLICE WITH STALKING, AGGRAVATED
HARASSMENT, AND CRIMINAL CONTEMPT.
HE WAS HELD ON A BAIL BOND.
THE STATE BURN BAN BEGINS TODAY.
RESIDENTIAL BRUSH BURNING IS PROHIBITED
NOW, THROUGH MAY 14TH. THIS IS THE
10TH YEAR FOR THE BAN, WHICH WAS PUT
INTO PLACE TO CUT DOWN ON BRUSH FIRES.
