On March 11, 2019, Edward Duche was arraigned in County Court upon his indictment for twenty-two (22) Counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the 1st Degree and Criminal Impersonation in the 2nd Degree, Honorable Jonathan D. Nichols presiding. The Court scheduled a trial for July 30, 2019. The New York State Police investigated this matter and arrested Edward Duche. John McFadden represents Edward Duche. Edward Duche is presumed to be innocent unless and until the People can prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt to all twelve (12) of twelve (12) jurors. (Indictment No. 19-006A)

Two men from Queens arrested for counterfeit bills in Ghent

Ghent, New York – On February 14, 2019, the New York State Police from the Livingston barracks arrested Junior Ferreira, age 33, of Queens, NY, for Possession of a Forged Instrument in the 1st degree, a class C felony, Falsify Business Records in the 1st degree, a class E felony, and Criminal Impersonation in the 2nd degree, a class A misdemeanor, and Edgard Duche, age 31, of Queens, for Possession of a Forged Instrument in the 1st degree, a class C felony, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd degree, an unclassified misdemeanor.
On February 14, 2019, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Troopers conducted a vehicle and traffic stop of a 2018 Chrysler 300 on State Route 9H in the town of Ghent for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation found both the passenger and operator provided false identities to avoid association with outstanding warrants for their arrest. Further investigation discovered both subjects were in possession of counterfeit $100 U.S currency bills, and Duche was found to have eleven suspensions on his license.
Ferreira and Duche were arraigned before the town of Ghent Court, and remanded by the Honorable Judge Bruno to the Columbia County Jail without bail. Their next scheduled appearance before the Court was set for February 19, 2019, at 3:00 p.m.
