Hudson residents indicted on felony drug charges

On March 11, 2019, Renell Harrington was arraigned in County Court upon his indictment for three (3) Counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th Degree, Honorable Jonathan D. Nichols presiding. The Court scheduled a trial for August 5, 2019. The Hudson Police Department investigated this matter and arrested Renell Harrington. Dennis McEvoy represents Renell Harrington. Renell Harrington is presumed tl be innocent unless and until the People can prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt to all twelve (12) of twelve (12) jurors. (Indictment No. 19-007A)

Nichols presiding. The Court scheduled a trial for August 5, 2019. The Hudson Police Department investigated this matter and arrested Rebecca Cook. The Public Defender represents Rebecca Cook. Rebecca Cook is presumed to be innocent unless and until the People can prove her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt to all twelve (12) of twelve (12) jurors. (Indictment No. 19-007B)

PRESS RELEASE – DRUG ARRESTS

As part of ongoing efforts to address open drug dealing in our community, the Hudson Police Department conducted another investigation that lead to several arrests last night.

On February 21, 2019 at about 8:35pm members of HPD executed a search warrant at 10 Frederick Street. A quantity of heroin, crack cocaine, and methamphetamine was seized.

Arrested were;

RENELL “POOKIE” HARRINGTON, age 65 of 10 Frederick St.

Charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (CPCS)(B Fel) 3 counts

CPCS 3rd (Intent to sell – Meth) (B Fel)

CPCS 5th (cocaine) (D Fel)

CPCS 7th (A misd)

REBECCA LYNN COOK , age 50 of 10 Frederick St.

Charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (CPCS)(B Fel) 3 counts

CPCS 3rd (Intent to sell – Meth) (B Fel)

CPCS 5th (cocaine) (D Fel)

The month-long investigation was conducted by HPD’s Detective Unit. Deputies from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office were at the scene, and NY State Troopers provided support. Assistant Columbia County District Attorney Joyce Crawford accompanied officers who executed the warrant.

Harrington and Cook were arraigned in front of City Court Judge Brian Herman. Harrington was remanded to CC Jail $5000 cash /10,000 bond. Cook was ror’d to return 02/28 at 11am.
