Fire hits East Durham home

Fire broke out this morning at a home in East Durham. Several Greene County fire companies were called to 2229 Route 145 just before 6.

We're told, the family got out ok. No word on any injuries.

The home received heavy damage.

The Greene County fire investigation team is looking into the cause.

Firemen were wrapping up at the scene four hours later.

American Red Cross Aids Three After East Durham Fire

(January 28, 2019) - Volunteers from the Mid-Hudson Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross provided immediate emergency aid to three people after a fire Monday morning on State Route 145 in East Durham, Greene County. 

 

The Red Cross provided financial assistance for necessities such as shelter, food and clothing to three adults. Volunteers also offered emotional support and comfort kits containing personal care items. In the coming days, Red Cross staff and volunteers will remain available to help those affected by the fire as they navigate the road to recovery.
