Traffic stop leads to charges for Palenville residents

From Saugerties Police:

Date of Incident: January 8, 2019

Arrested - Cheyenne J. Rex Age (39) of Palenville,

Charge - Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree (Misdemeanor)

Appearance Ticket issued return on January 23, 2019 Town of Saugerties Justice Court

Incidental to a vehicle and traffic stop on Sparling Road, Rex was found in possession of concentrated cannabis, known as “Wax”.

The driver of the vehicle, William B. Voerg Age (21) of Palenville,

was found to be in possession of a quantity of Marihuana and subsequently was charged with the Violation of Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Voerg was processed at the scene and released on an appearance ticket in addition to two UTT's for having an uninspected motor vehicle and unlicensed operation of a Motor Vehicle. Voerg is scheduled to appear before the Town of Saugerties Justice Court on January 23, 2019 to answer his charges.
