Two are homeless after Niverville Fire

Fire broke out early this morning at a home on 66 Knollwood Drive in Niverville. Over half a dozen fire companies were called to the scene just before 1:30.

There were no reported injuries, and the cause is under investigation. The Red Cross is assisting two people:

American Red Cross Aids Two After Kinderhook Fire

Kinderhook, NY (January 8, 2019) - Volunteers from the Mid-Hudson Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross provided immediate emergency aid to 2 people after a single family fire on Tuesday early morning on Knollwood Dr. in Kinderhook (Columbia county).

The Red Cross provided financial assistance for necessities such as shelter, food and clothing to Two adults. Volunteers also offered emotional support and comfort kits containing personal care items. In the coming days, Red Cross staff and volunteers will remain available to help those affected by the fire as they navigate the road to recovery.
