Concert goer enters guilty plea from June drug arrest

23 year old Shane Spillenger was in Columbia County Court Monday. He plead guilty to Attempted Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th degree. He was arrested on drug charges during a traffic stop on Route 22 in New Lebanon June 7th. The Columbia County D.A.'s office says sentencing is scheduled for February 26th.

New Lebanon, New York – 

On June 7, 2018, the New York State Police from the New Lebanon barracks and SP Livingston Bureau of Criminal Investigation made multiple drug possession arrests in the towns of New Lebanon and Stephentown, Rensselaer County, NY, as traffic in the area increased leading up to the Disc Jam festival in Stephentown.

The following subjects were arrested all following vehicle and traffic stops initiated for violations of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law:

In the town of New Lebanon on June 7, 2018, on State Route 22, Shane M. Spillenger, age 32, of Albany, NY, was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th degree, a class D felony, four counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, class A misdemeanors, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a violation. 

Investigation discovered Spillenger was in possession of approximately 1.1 grams of cocaine, 8 grams of marijuana oil, 3.2 grams of hydrocodone pills, 0.5 grams of alprazolam, 1 gram of clonazepam, and 15.4 grams of marijuana. 

Spillenger was arraigned before the town of New Lebanon Court, and released on his own recognizance.
