North Chatham Library: We're All Plastic People Now Screening on May 20

North Chartham Trolley Station

North Chatham Library Announces a Free Screening of the Emmy Award Winning Film “We’re All Plastic People Now” on May 20th at 6:30 PM

This Event is at the North Chatham Trolley Station, 103 Depot Street, 12132

The documentary “We’re All Plastic People Now” originally aired on PBS in June of 2023 and features an introduction by actor and environmentalist Ted Danson.

According to PBS of South Florida, the film investigates the hidden story of plastics and its effects on human health. In fact, scientists and researchers have discovered plastics have been found in our bodies – our brains, colons even in mother’s developing wombs.

In an era of throw away ease, convenience has cost us our well-being. “We’re All Plastic People” poses the question how much evidence do we need before we decide to take action?

After the film, David Sayer, co-leader of Beyond Plastics Virtual Group, a grassroots organization inspired by the Founder of Beyond Plastics Judith Enck, will facilitate a discussion with attendees.
