Don’t Miss “Ergonomics in the Garden” on Saturday, April 26 at 10 AM at the Library Annex at the North Chatham Trolley Station
This Free Event is at 103 Depot St., at the Intersection of Depot St. and Route 32.
Join Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Frieda Pearce who will discuss how gardening enhances physical mobility and safety, what changes you should implement to maintain flexibility both in and out of the garden, and what tools might aid you in these endeavors.
“We are all aware that gardening contributes to the creation of beautiful environment, but it is good exercise, and can be a life-long activity,” said Pearce. “Physical safety is important, whether young or old because gardening requires tasks such as digging, raking, and carrying material. This helps improve endurance, strength, and flexibility while also affording escapes from daily stressors.”
