Mid-Hudson Valley Arrest from the Weekend 2/19/21& 2/20/21

According to the Daily Freeman, here is the local arrest from the weekend:

Friday 2/19/21:

Catskill

• Forgery:Sarah A. Jaghamin, 28, of Catskill, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 8:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, and was charged with forgery of a U.S. government instrument and possession of a forged instrument, both felonies, and with petit larceny, a misdemeanor. Jaghamin's arrest followed a report at about 6:50 p.m. from a local business that had received a counterfeit $100 bill from a customer. While investigating, troopers learned that the customer, Jaghamin, regularly came to the store and had also allegedly forged a name on a check from a closed account and used that check at a local hotel. Jaghamin was virtually arraigned before Judge Dorpfeld in in Catskill Town Court and released with tickets for a future court appearance.

• DWI:Steven T. Arnold, 26, of Catskill, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 4:25 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, and was charged with aggravated unlicensed driving, a felony, and with drunken driving, a misdemeanor. Arnold was released with tickets for Catskill Town Court.

Saugerties

• DWI:Stephanie A. Winecoff, 37, of Glasco Turnpike, Saugerties, was arrested by Saugerties Police at 11:47 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, following a one-car rollover crash on Washington Avenue in the village. No injuries were reported. After submitting to a breath test at police headquarters, Winecoff was charged with driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.16 percent (twice the legal limit), and unsafe lane change, an infraction, and was released with a ticket for Saugerties Village Court.

Saturday, 2/20/21:

Catskill

• Drugs:Wilfredson Ramos, 42, of South Cairo, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 12:02 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, in the town of Catskill and was charged with two misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance. Ramos was released with tickets for Catskill Town Court.

Coxsackie

• Drugs:Chelsi E. Ferriere, 27, of Coxsackie, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 12:41 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, and was charged with manufacturing drug-related paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance (three counts) and use of drug-related paraphernalia (packaging), all misdemeanors. Ferriere was released with tickets for Coxsackie Town Court.

Esopus

• DWI:Neil Rausch, 68, of Lake Katrine, was arrested by state police at Highland at 4:25 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, in the town of Esopus and was charged with drunken driving and aggravated drunken driving, both misdemeanors. Rausch was released with tickets for Esopus Town Court.

Saugerties

Drugs:Jenna L. Neglia, 27, of Saugerties, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 7:20 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021, in the town of Saugerties and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of a hypodermic instrument and criminal use of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. She was issued an appearance ticket for Saugerties Town Court.

Stockport

• Rape:A 17-year-old Coxsackie male was arrested by state police at Claverack at 12:32 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, and charged with rape by forcible compulsion, a felony, stemming from an incident reported on July 31, 2020. His status was not immediately available. State police do not release the names of defendants who are 18 years of age or younger.
