• Sexual abuse: Patricia L. Penney, 36, of Round Top, was arrested Monday. Feb. 1, in Cairo and charged with sexual abuse, endangering the welfare of a child and unlawfully dealing with a child, all misdemeanors, according to state police at Catskill. Penney was issued an appearance ticket at about 6:34 p.m., police said.
Catskill
• Assault:Michael Affronti, 62, of Palenville, was arrested in Catskill and charged with assault, unlawful imprisonment and criminal mischief, all misdemeanors, at about 5:53 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1, according to state police at Catskill. He was released without bail, police said.
Lloyd
• Criminal contempt: Che L. Melbourne, 29, of Highland, was arrested Friday, Jan. 22, and charged with criminal contempt, according to the Lloyd Police Department. Melbourne was found to be in violation of an order of protection from LaGrange Town Court, police said. Melbourne was also wanted on a bench warrant for felony criminal mischief from the Poughkeepsie city police, Lloyd police said. Melbourne was released on an appearance ticket, police said.
• Breathing obstruction:Jean E. Terwilliger, 48, was arrested Monday, Feb. 1 and charged with criminal obstructing of breathing and blood circulation and endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors, according to the Lloyd Police Department. Terwilliger was released on an appearance ticket and is due in LloydTown Court on Thursday, Feb. 18.
Saugerties
• Menacing:Antonio Giordano, 41, of Sawmill Road, Saugerties, was charged Monday, Feb. 1, with menacing and criminal mischief, both misdemeaors, according to the Saugerties Police Department. Officers went to a report of a domestic dispute on Sawmill Road, police said. A caller reported she was locked in the residence and a man was outside banging and whacking at her front door with a machete in an attempt to break in. Giordano was found at his residence and arrested, police said. The machete used in the incident was recovered at Giordano’s residence, according to police. Giordano was released without bail, police said.
Town of Rochester
• Child injury:Robert V. Davis, 34, Accord, was charged Tuesday, Feb. 2 with act in a manner injurious to a child and criminal mischief, both misdemeanors, in the town of Rochester, according to state police at Wawarsing. Davis was arrested at about 1:40 a.m., police said. Further information was not available.
