NEW LEBANON—A Rensselaer County man has been arrested for sexually abusing a child in New Lebanon.
William E. Ubrich, 45, of Sand Lake was charged with first degree sexual abuse, a class D felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor, by State Police from the Livingston barracks, January 1.
Investigation by State Police in conjunction with the Columbia County Child Advocacy Center determined Mr. Ubrich allegedly sexually abused a victim under the age of 11-years-old.
He was arraigned in Claverack Court and sent to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond. Mr. Ubrich is next scheduled to appear in New Lebanon Court at a later date.
