LIBERTY – A Village of Liberty man has been arrested and charged with killing his wife at their 30 Liberty Street residence on Monday.
Cedric Clarkson, 49, has been charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
Chief Scott Kinne said the victim died of blunt force trauma.
The victim’s body was discovered by his 18-year-old step-daughter in a shed behind the couple’s single-family home.
Clarkson was arraigned and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail.
Liberty Police were assisted by the Sullivan County District Attorney and Sheriff’s Offices and State Police Forensic Investigation Unit.
