• Burglary/contempt: Delavan A. Raphael, 33, of Cairo, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 3:50 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, and was charged with burglary and contempt, both felonies, and with petit larceny and aggravated harassment, both misdemeanors. Raphael was arrested after troopers responded to Bailey Road in the town of Catskill for a report of a possible burglary. The homeowner said she believed her former boyfriend had entered her residence during the night and had stolen $3,200 in cash, jewelry valued at more than $7,250, and $300 in foreign currency. An investigation determined that Raphael allegedly entered the home and removed the items in violation of an order of protection that had been issued on behalf of the victim. Raphael was arraigned in Cairo Town Court and sent to the Albany County Jail in lieu of $1,000, bail pending a further court appearance.
• Drugs:Dylan T. Engels, 22, of New Paltz, was arrested by state police at Highland at 4:25 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, and was charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. Engels was released with a ticket for New Paltz Court.
• Theft: A 15-year-old boy from Ellenville was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, and was charged with two felony counts of grand larceny of an automobile valued at more than $100 and with conspiracy and reckless driving, both misdemeanors. He was released with tickets for Wawarsing Town Court.
