SAUGERTIES – A 37-year-old Saugerties man has been charged with assaulting three people including his girlfriend. Town police said Jeffery Cafaldo allegedly attacked the 26-year-old woman breaking her nose and knocking her unconscious.
When another person tried to intervene, he allegedly attacked that individual. In all, three people were injured.
Cafaldo was charged with two counts of assault and one count of criminal mischief.
He was arraigned and released on his own recognizance with stay-away orders of protection issued on behalf of both victims.
