Kingston
• Contempt: Channell Tissiera-Swartz, 39, of Liberty, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 10:59 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, and charged with misdemeanor contempt of a court order. Tissiera-Swartz was released with a ticket to appear in Kingston City Court.
• Prison contraband: Scott G. Chislett, 28, of Hurley, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies at the Ulster County Jail about 4:40 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, and charged with the felony of promoting prison contraband. He was arrested after corrections staff searched Chislett's cell and allegedly found green-brown leafy vegetation, as well as clear plastic wrap containing an orange film. The orange film tested positive for suboxone, and the green-brown leafy substance was positive for marijuana. Chislett remains in the Ulster County Jail pending his arraignment in Kingston City Court.
Esopus
• Forged instrument: Timothy J. Martinez, 30, of Kingston, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies about 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, and charged with felony possession of a forged instrument, the misdemeanor of aggravated unlicensed driving, and several traffic infractions. Martinez was allegedly driving his vehicle with a temporary Texas registration that belonged to a different vehicle. The resulting investigation alleged the temporary registration was forged and had been printed on a household printer. Martinez was released with tickets to appear in Esopus Town Court.
Ghent
• Marijuana: Keojhi T. Branch, 25, of Catskill, was arrested by state police at Claverack at 9:40 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, and charged with misdemeanor possession of more than 2 ounces of marijuana. Branch was released with tickets to appear in Ghent Town Court.
New Paltz
• Bail jumping: Damien E. Johnson, 26, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested by state police at Highland at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, and charged with bail jumping, a misdemeanor. Johnson was released with a ticket to appear in New Paltz Court.
Saugerties
• DWI: Carleen M. Vandendooren, 59, of Band Camp Road, Saugerties, was arrested by Saugerties police about 1:10 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 27, and charged with the misdemeanors of drunken driving, aggravated drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content at or exceeding 0.18%, and the infraction of failing to maintain lane. The arrest, on Band Camp Road, followed a reported crash during which Vanderdooren’s 2013 Chevrolet EQX struck a tree. Vandendooren allegedly had a blood-alcohol level of 0.29%, more than three times the state's legal limit. She was released with tickets to appear in Saugerties Town Court.
Wawarsing
• Drugs: Brett A. Thomas, 28, of Kerhonkson, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, and charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. Thomas was released with a ticket to appear in Wawarsing Town Court.
Westerlo
• Drugs/DWAI-drugs: Sean Moorhus, 46, of Saugerties, was arrested by state police at Greenville at 8:48 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, and charged with the felony of aggravated unlicensed driving, five misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, and the misdemeanors of driving while ability impaired by drugs, manufacturing drug-related paraphernalia, obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest. Moorhus’ status was not immediately available.
