HUDSON—A Craryville man was killed when his motorcycle crashed into a car and erupted in flames at the entrance to Columbia Memorial Hospital, 71 Prospect Avenue, October 14 at 1:57 p.m.
State Police from Livingston are investigating and identified the motorcycle operator as Thomas P. Golden, 37, of Craryville. An obituary for Mr. Golden appears in this issue of The Columbia Paper.
Hudson firefighters and the Greenport Rescue Squad were called to the scene.
The events leading up to this fatal crash remain under investigation and police did not issue crash details or the name of the person driving the car involved.
Prospect Avenue was closed for several hours while the crash was investigated. Hudson firefighters were back in service at 3:43 p.m.
