Larceny From Vehicles – Stolen Credit Cards – Felony Arrest
On Monday , October 5, 2020 at about 10:22pm HPD officers Kevin Keyser and Randy Srattman were on patrol , checking the Amtraklong-term parking lot on South Front Street. The patrol found a parked vehicle with the passenger side window smashed out.Checking the area, they discovered SHAWN SZEPESSY, 35 years old from Stockport, seated in his vehicle. The officers noticed he had small cuts to his hand.
Their investigation revealed that SZEPESSY was in possession of a small window punch tool and four stolen credit cards. The owner of the credit cards was located at Columbia Memorial Hospital, where she is employed. It was soon discovered that her vehicle, which was parked in the CMH parking garage, had a broken window and her purse was missing.
Shawn Szepessy was arrested for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree, a class E Felony. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due back at Hudson City Court on October 22, 2020 at 8:30am.
