Mid-Hudson Valley Arrest from August 4th!

According to the Daily Freeman, here are the arrest from August 4th!

Athens

• Drugs:Joseph Madera, 37, of Catskill; Ronald Brown, 31, of the Bronx; Amy C. Melendez, 27, of Brooklyn; and Mychelle M. Merino, 25, of Brooklyn, were arrested by state police at Coxsackie between 1:31 a.m. and 2:01 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, on U.S. Route 9W. Madera was charged with possession of a narcotic drug, a felony, and with possession of a controlled substance, aggravated unlicensed driving and drunken driving, all misdemeanors. Brown was charged with possession of a narcotic drug, a felony, and with criminal mischief, obstruction of governmental administration, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance, all misdemeanors. Melendez was charged with possession of a narcotic substance, a felony, and with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and obstruction of governmental administration, both misdemeanors, and Merino was charged with possession of a narcotic drug, possession of a narcotic drug with intent to sell and possession of a hallucinogenic substance, all felonies, and with possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Madera was sent to the Albany County Jail without bail; Brown was sent to the Albany County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail; and Melendez and Merino were released with tickets for Athens Town Court. (Suspects jailed after arrests in Greene County have been sent to the Albany County Jail since the Greene County Jail closed in 2018).

DWI:Walter E. Smulsky, 49, of Germantown, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 9:46 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, on U.S. Route 9W and was charged with drunken driving and aggravated drunken driving, both misdemeanors. He was issued an appearance ticket for Athens Town Court.

Olive

• Acting in a manner injurious to a child/weapon: Clarence L. Williams, 44, of Olivebridge, was arrested by state police at Olive at 8:20 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, and was charged with acting in a manner injurious to a child under the age of 17, menacing with a weapon and criminal possession of a weapon with intent to use, all misdemeanors. Williams was released with tickets for Olive Town Court.

Town of Rochester

• DWI:Randi M. Brooks, 33, of Kerhonkson, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 7:40 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, on Samsonville Road in the town and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level at or exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors. Brooks was released with tickets for Rochester Town Court.
