SAUGERTIES – A 22-year-old Saugerties woman was remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of bail following a domestic incident in which she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the arm with a knife.
Kelly Ortiz was charged with felony assault and sent to jail on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
It is alleged that on July 6, while visiting with his girlfriend, the two engaged in a domestic dispute and Ortiz stabbed him.
The victim sustained injury that required treatment at Health Alliance Broadway Campus.
Ortiz was arrested on Friday, July 17.
